Transporation - Quebec City to Montreal?

We're taking a cruise in September that has us disembarking at Quebec City. We're looking at options for getting home flying into Orlando. It looks like Quebec City has very few flights; is it better to fly out through Montreal, and if so, any transportation advice for getting from QC to Montreal? Thanks!

I took a look on skyscanner, and there does only seem to be one good connection from Quebec to Orlando, unless you want to get up really early.

I would take the train. If you look on the Via Rail site, you will see there is a bus connection from Montreal Dorval station to the airport.

As thursdaysnd says, the train is the best way to get to Montreal-Trudeau Airport from Quebec City. Just to be clear, Dorval station is at, but not in, the airport. The bus is a free minibus shuttle.

Thank you!

I also think the train is the best option. And the station in Quebec City is an interesting building!

United flies from Quebec City in late afternoon, with a two-hour transfer in Newark for Orlando. Prices one-way in September as low as $165 US. Other opportunities can be seen at www.itasoftware.com That's about $20 more than from Montreal but the train adds cost and extra time.

PS: The Quebec Airport is well out of town and with limited public transit. Prepare for a cab ride.

We took the train from QC to Montreal city and then took a cab to the Montreal airport. If you can fly home from QC, that is still the best option. You will spend a couple of hours on the train.

@leverendrye is right!
Train is the best way out followed by the shuttle.

It seems like the cruise lines would have taken the transportation problem into account when they scheduled these cruises. I also am looking into one of these, but also having the problem with transporatation. Cruiselines should provide some type of help with this, don't you think???
