Train travel to Ottawa just got easier

I took VIA Rail to Ottawa from Montreal yesterday to visit a friend and I loved that the O-Train (light rail with a few underground stops) now transports one from the train station to downtown (more popular stops Id imagine would be Parliament and the Byward Market) in about 15 minutes. Tremblay station is maybe a 1-2 minute walk from the VIA Rail station. The old accordion OC Transpo bus that used to do this route did the trick but I appreciated how simple the O-Train was.

I had a lovely day with my friend, visiting the interesting neighbourhoods Old Ottawa South and the Glebe for the first timethe restaurant and cafe we went to seemed independent and charmed me (the Belmont and Cafe Morala), as did the eclectic furniture and artwork at Arts House Cafe in Centre Town. I find I appreciate Ottawa more and more with every visit, especially with the beautiful fall colours yesterday.
