Train reservations

I am trying to make train reservations from Toronto to Montreal and from Montreal to Quebec City for the 3rd week of June. The supersaver fares are already sold out. Is it possible to reserve a regular fare, but then change to a supersaver fare on the day of the travel if a spot becomes available? Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thank you.

No, I don't believe so. "Supersaver fares" to my understanding are for trains that have sold a certain number of seats; once that certain number of passengers has been reached, all comfort class seats sold after that point are "regular fare".
