Tourist wants to sightsee in TO on Christmas

A friend let me know she knows someone who will be visiting Toronto during Christmas. Since many places will be closed for the holidays, what are some places to see and things to do for one or two days? Thank you!

Most tourist attractions are closed on 25th. The only one that I know of is Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada located near CN tower. All attractions are open on 26th. Since 26th is boxing day, many attractions may have have price deals. Toronto Zoo has half price admission on 26th for sure.

Sorry for the typo, I meant half price.
There are few architecturally interesting churches worth visiting in Toronto downtown, which will be open on X-mas day.
St. James Anglican Cathedral,St. Michael's Cathedral,St. Paul's Basilica.
If the weather is good then, walk around the University of Toronto Campus and see the Ontario legislature from outside.

Thank you limalberta for the quick response :)

I'll let my friend know, I know she'll appreciate it!

Any tourist guide book to Toronto will list all the usual places to go and things to see and do. If the friend of a friend is interested in something then it is easy enough to Google that something and find out what their opening hours will be.

As for what to see and do, that will depend entirely on the interests of the friend of a friend don't you think? I see no point in telling you what I would be interested in since my interests and this friend of a friend's interests may be entirely different.

A travel forum is not a replacement for a guidebook for the lazy.
