touring west canada

I'm planning to spend about 3 weeks seeing some of the beautiful parts of canada. What would you recommend and how far are the distances. Can you drive to most of it?
Any info on creating an itenary would be great.

Give us a little more information. Where do you want to start and finish? Are you flying into one place, say Vancouver and fying out of another, say Calgary? Are you planning on renting a car.

I would be happy to help with what I know about Alberta with more specifics.

Cheers.

I will tell you distances if you will tell me what an itenary is.
Is it something like a totem pole?
As a general rule you can drive in the summer most anywhere there is a road.
Like don't plan on driving from Chilliwack all the way to Nanaimo.
Without stopping to see much, it's a day's drive from Winnipeg to Regina, a day from Regina to Calgary or Regina to Edmonton, and a very long day's drive from Edmonton or Calgary to Vancouver, again without pausing long enough to see much.

Unless you really want to be in genuine wilderness, you can drive just about anywhere most tourists would want to go. Some of the driving may be on and off ferry boats. You might want to leave your car at some ferry terminal, and just ride the boats without the car, too.

A circle from Victoria to Regina or the other way around would be a great trip. You would dip down into the northern USA on part of the circle.

BAK

If she's still in the planning stage of a trip from 2002
she's really taking a slowtrav approach!
