Toronto skiing, Dagmar

Has anyone skiied at Dagmar or can tell me the other ski "hill" there. Do these areas sell out? Can one purchase tickets in advance? Are there hotels, B&Bs, etc nearby or would one stay in Toronto?
Good reply. Where is Dagmar? Give them a shout at 905 649-2002. I guess you are coming to TO and want to do some skiing?

Ontario ski hills never sell out. You just show up and buy a lift ticket. Personally, I would go to Blue Mountain and stay at one of the new hotels/chalets up there. See the Intrawest website.

Hi,
Not sure where you are coming from to ski TO, but Dagmar (which is sort of north of Whitby) is a tiny little ski hill ( and I use the term hill loosely) used mostly by locals who don't have a better choice close by. If you want to ski in Ontario (TO) I would definitely say go to Collingwood (Blue Mtn) where you will find a better resort and lots of accommodation as well. For Dagmar the closest hotels/motels would be in Whitby, Oshawa or Ajax.

Have you skiied before? If your answer is Yes ---then DONT go to Dagmar......it is very very beginner like...there is only 2 chairlifts, and the hills are small, that you could walk up them if the line ups were too long!!!
Try Horseshoe Valley, Mt St Louis Moonstone, or Blue Mountain. They all have websites so you can obtain more info from there.

Happy Trails
