Toronto or Montreal?
That's the question.
|
Hi kirbyks,
Both cities have rabid hockey fans. While the young Leafs team has started the season playing above expectations, they are still not expected to make the playoffs. Montreal, on the other hand, has quite a good team, and Les Canadiens are celebrating their centennial this year, which includes the All-Star game being played in Montreal. So Montreal is the answer. Is this only about Hockey?... You can't get tickets in either city anyway, but both cities have other plusses.... Montreal has Old City and a French-Canadian flair while Toronto offers diversity and big city action.... that's the answer...

The Leafs "playing above expectations" really isn't saying much. :D
This from a Trawna boy. ;) |
From the perspective of those outside Toronto, the Leafs have been playing above expectations, i.e they have won a few games.
For those from Toronto, the Leafs, as always for the past 40 years, have been playing below expectations; the expectations every September being that they will contend for the Stanley Cup. |
I like both. I'd say Montreal.

Surely that should be Calgary versus Montreal versus Vancouver?
