Jazz Festival certainly worth checking out. Many tourists, but also lots of local color.<BR><BR>The hotels that you mention are all more or less in the same area, western end of downtown (Guy or Atwater Metro stations). I guess this is why they are cheaper than those directly downtown or in Old City. I think Hotel du Fort is the nicest one. The "suites" hotels are converted high-rise apt. buildings.<BR>

<BR>Thanks Louis. I plan to book my flight (Tango) and hotels for the first weekend of the Jazz Festival in the next few days. I think I will be spending more on a hotel than i originially budgeted but think it will be worth it. I can't wait! <BR>All of your assistance is much appreciated.
