Toronto in April

What's new to do in Toronto? My husband and I will be there in April. We are in our 40's and enjoy theatre (and eating). Thanks.

Rita-My husband travels to Toronto often, and I, as well as our youngest son,age 16, often go with him. Toronto is a wonderful place with lots to do and see. THe town is quite safe, the people are extremely nice and as many times as I have been, I always want to return! If your interests are theatre and food, your going to the right place! The theatre is equal to NYC, though of course there are not nearly as many theatres! The productions are exceptional and very well attended. TIckets can be purchased by phone. Toronto has a great tourist bureau-you can write, or call-they have any 80 # and will send you alot of info. FYI-the theatre where Phantom of the Opera is performed was built speciifcally for that show! Tickets are not cheap, but then where is good theatre cheap! At least the exchange rate is pretty good. As for food-there are endless great restaurants at all price ranges. There is a greektown, chinatown, lots of italian cuisine, jewish - you name it and they've got it!!The museums are outstanding and transportation is good-they have above and subway trnsportation. If time permits, visit Casa Loma-it's worth the time. I also found the Beta shoe Museum quite fascinating-plus there are wonderful art museums etc. Try to visit one of the local italian bakeries too. Enuf-hope this helps-enjoy your trip!! Sharon
If you love theatre be sure to go to the 4th floor at the Eaton Center (downtown Shopping Center) for 1/2 price tix. I think it's called TO Tix(?) -- It's like HotTix in Chicago.

So many places to eat -- Chinatown was wonderful, also Greektown. For an upscale cafeteria try Le Marche near the Hockey Hall of Fame. Lots of fun.

Geo
