Toronto Hotel Advice
Hi, I am staying at the Toronto Colony Hotel soon. I understand it is a reasonable choice in that price range. Just wanted to know if location is O.K. Any advice welcome.
Thanks.

It's fine.

Plus the Dim Sum is excellent, reports my wife, who ate there yesterday.

If you see Toronto photos or maps, the Colony is just behind and to the left of the clam-shaped Toronto City Hall, as you look at the commopn views pof city hall.

BAK

Wouldn't be my favourite place to put out-of-towners. It's close to the Eaton Centre and to the A.G.O. and Chinatown. Better to go to Yorkville or more Downtown. There are a lot of better choices. Email directly if you have more questions.

Thanks for advice. Looks like opinion split 50/50 on this one. Any one else been to this hotel?
James.

Stayed at the Colony for 4 days in a super suite on the 11th floor. The location was super, one block from the Eaton center, 2 blocks from the bus station, Red Lobster was only a few blocks away, we enjoyed the location because we don't drive in Canada, we're from Bermuda and don't like the way you all use the wrong side of the road. I think you'll like the Colony we sure did.

Thanks Pat.
I`m from Scotland so to me they drive on the wrong side to. I have driven in the U.S. and it was O.K. in fact I enjoyed it!
Cheers, James.
Beware Pat and James - I dared to use the phrase "wrong side of the road" when asking a question about car rental in London and was viciously flamed by other posters.
