I'm glad to hear you all had a good time and I wish I could have been there. I love the fact that you all wore name tags but I wish I could have seen them in the pictures. Those are great portraits but I could only recognize the mini GTG attendees and would love to know who's who of the rest. I'm coming to the next one for sure!

Oh, and Raquel -- if you're reading, Happy Birthday!!!! Have a great one!

Click on "view album as guest" - lower left-ish corner or this should take you right to the album

Here are the best of the photos I took last night, including captions with names in case you can't make out the tiny nametags. There is at least one photo of everyone except myself and Sally Canuck but we are in Robjame's photos.

Also, if anyone who didn't attend either of the two GTGs would like to be on the TO GTG mailing list, please contact me: [email protected]

I definitely want to be on the mailing list.

I looked at the second set of pictures but I don't see any captions. What am I doing wrong? Michel Paris looks like the actor who played Truman Capote!

Happy Birthday, hdm! Captions are there now so try again.

Anyone who attended the mini GTG is already on the list.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Moolyn!

It's so great to see everyone and put names to faces. BAK looks like Phil Donohue and Mrs BAK is so pretty. Danon looks tres French. Moolyn, that's a great picture of you! It looks like you all had a wonderful time. Seeing the pics with the names is the next best thing to being there!

Robjame, looking over your photos I notice that there is not a single one of the lovely Mrs. Robjame. Boy, would you be in trouble if she was to read this thread!

Yes, thank to moolyn and kodi for bringing us together.

Blend together good food and Fodorites..and you get talk of housewapping with the Viennese, travel in India, where to stay in Toronto, whether le Tour D'Argent is not what it used to be, spending time in the undiscovered Auvergne, the lure of Buenos Aries, or the where, why, and by who is Swahili spoken.

A night that entertained as well left us all a bit more informed about the world...and maybe with an expanded list of places to see!

I felt there was much more we could have talked about, but we'll leave it for next year's GTG. Who knows, maybe a mini GTG somewhere "over there"..

Thanks again to all.

Oh sure! Uh huh, ya, we believe you! You're incognito, aren't you...you can tell us. It won't go farther than this board!

An actor can assume many personalities...say no more.

Toronto Film Festival on now...coincidence.

Wonderful to meet everyone but too little time so clearly we must do this again, maybe in the dark mid-winter for those of NOT travelling to sunny______this year? Great venue! Special thanks to Moolyn and Kodi, two very thoughtful people who made all the arrangements and were so hospitable.

I just saw the photos..great! I think I recognize Anselm from a trip report feature we ran a long time ago on his trip to France. Anselm is that you in the second photo in the album?
