Toronto downtown hotels
Any suggestions? Where did you stay that you liked? Hubby/I will be going in summer. Want to be near attractions. Thanks.

How much do you want to pay?

Budget is no more than $100 USD.

hi gluvscat,
That's only about $120 CDN and I don't think you're going to have very much luck finding a nice place near attractions for that. You could try the Strathcona or the Hotel Victoria but I think they might still be too much. I think your best bet is trying Priceline and bidding for a room. I've never done it myself but I know several people visiting from the US who've gotten rooms at the Sheraton on Queen Street (a very nice hotel in the heart of downtown) for well under $100. Let us know how it goes. |
In addition to the Strathcona and the Hotel Victoria, get a Choice Hotels directory, and try your luck with it. There are several diffrerent brands within the Choice Hotels family that might ht your price. And Howard Johnson's on Avenue Road.
But for summer in Canada's largest city, you've got a price problem. BAK |
You should be able to get a 4* hotel in Downtown Toronto on Priceline by bidding in the range of $60 to $75 per night:
http://p070.ezboard.com/Canada--Onta...abiddingfrm211 If you hit the Ontario Hotels link at the top of the page, you can see a list of Priceline hotels reported by posters on www.biddingfortravel.com that are listed by zone and star rating. If you are bidding at the 4* level, all of the other Toronto Zones except Vaughan-North York are "free re-bid zones" that can be combined on a 4* bid with Toronto Downtown, assuring you that your bid, if accepted, will be at a Toronto Downtown hotel. (The Vaughan-North York is not safe since Priceline has a 4* hotel located in that zone, whereas all of the other zone have only 3* or lower.) |
