tofino / ucluelet accommodation
 

We are hoping to join family in Vancouver next summer and would really like to discover the Tofino and Ucluelet area.We would like to book an inexpensive cabin or similar for 8 (4 adults, 4 children) for a week,on the beach, somewhere with a view. Does anyone have any reccomendations?

There's not a lot that's inexpensive in that region, but my family has stayed in the cabins at the Ocean Village Resort (not a swanky resort, but a very modest collection of cabins along the beach).

Tofino & Ucluelet is one of the most expensive villages in British Columbia and I was not able to find a nice & inexpensive accommodation in Tofino during the summer.

There are very nice ressorts in this area (no daubt about this)

I have stayed in the Schooner Motel this year and we had to pay 143 CAD for dark and dirty motel room, which did not give us much value for our money.

Why not visit another village at the west coast of vancouver Island?

I would take a look at Crystal Cove...nice cabins and right on the beach. Ocean Village is a good option and you could also look at Pacific Sands.
Check out the web sites for Tofino and you should seen plenty of options.Summer is high season though and it will be more challenging to find inexpensive. But it's beautiful.
