Tofino- hiking spots

Hello,

I'm heading to Tofino in June. Just looking for advice about hiking spots around Tofino area. Not an intense hiker and not looking for 7day treks through the Pacific Rim park, It'd be just a day trip. The Tofino tourism site has an amazing picture of a view of top of the mountains looking over the little islands and I can't find anything about hiking trails.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I don't think there are any 7 day treks through Pacific Rim National Park... I'm not an intense hiker, but have always enjoyed the trails and paths through the forests there.

Look up Pacific Rim National Park's Rainforest Trails A & B -they're at opposite sides of the highway but are loop trails along a boardwalk that go up and down through the rainforest. It takes less than an hour to walk each one from my recollection... absolutely beautiful.

There's also a bog trail by Wickanninish Beach, I believe. These trails are all very well marked. Again, they're not hiking trails... they're well-established walking paths that take you through the different parts of the forest. Very accessible and gorgeous.

That picture that you are referring to is on Meares Island and the Lone Cone trial which is a intermediate hike, uphill 2.5 hours at least.
You take a boat to Meares and there are companies that will do a self guided hike for $50 or a group hike for $150 pp.

There are so many places to hike there from easy to a little more challenging.

One of my favorite in Tofino is Schooner Cove. You park up top, hike though the forest and boardwalk down to the beach.

There are also many good hikes in Ucluelet, such as the Wild Pacific Trail and the hike down to Florencia Bay is a good hike
