Since I live here, I've not stayed there but it's certainly a handy location with the subway entrance outside the King Street door, lots of places to eat in the area, probably a good view, close to the Market.

I stayed there last year and found it to be a great hotel... many of the suites are rented for businessmen for long term stays so the units have mini-kitchens and lots of room... they are also uniquely shaped and have rounded window views...kinda cool... one fun thing is the hotel car service which uses an old cadillac and an old Bentley for free rides to local shows, restaurants, and shopping... that was cool too. we also upgraded for a few bucks and got a package that included breakfast in the old bankvault in the Lobby... overall I think it was an outstanding value in a great
location and still a relatively unknown gem... have fun!

thanks for the information....we have heard that parking is 40 dollars a night at the hotel, is there other parking close by not so expensive? we won't be using the car once we get there.

Is all parking $40 a night? From their website: "Valet parking is available at the following rates:

Valet parking is available at $11.50 per hour, up to a maximum of $40 per 24-hour period*

Due to the size limitations of our parking facilities, we may not be able to offer parking to some larger model vehicles. Several public parking facilities are also available within a short walking distance.

*Departures after the 24-hour period are subject to additional hourly rates, up to a maximum of $40. Rates are subject to change without notice."

When we went there, we assumed that the parking was HOTEL parking, however it was an independent ramp below the hotel... for some reason( maybe because we got our own car) there was no charge on the hotel bill... and they let us out of the ramp when we showed the parking slip... OOPS... free parking !!! I'm sure it was an oversight that has since been corrected and I will mail them the $120 oversight (yeah right)

Anyway... I would recommend alternate parking after checking in... at a more reasonable rate lot in the area... especially since you won't need the car... have fun!

Oh.. I also forgot to mention that our suite had a washer and dryer... helpful for a family or longer stay!
