Sunday Brunch/Toronto Area
We are looking for a casual to upscale place
to go with some friends for a Sunday Brunch
in a couple of weeks. We have a car, so it
doesn't necessarily need to be downtown Toronto. We have been to The Doctors House
in Kleinburg in the past, but have since heard it is not the same quality as it once was. Suggestions please. Price is not really
an issue, just would like it to be a nice place without being stuffy.
What about JKRom at the Royal Ontario Museum? It's in downtown Toronto, at the corner of Avenue Road and Bloor Street. Jamie Kennedy, who owns and runs it, is an amazing chef.

Check out the Old Mill sunday brunch (it's just off Bloor St at Old Mill Subway station). Looks like a stuffy place but it isn't.
The only thing I would suggest is that you make your reservations for early as possible as the line up at the extensive buffet can be brutal later on in the morning.

Debbie,
Thanks for the reminder. I bet we have
been by there on the way out to Tony Pistolas Italian restaurant in the Kingsway ? area. That sounds like a
good idea, although the ROM sounds like
it would be lovely too. Thanks for the
suggestions . Sherri

Check out www.torontolife.com under Food and Drink, select Editor's Picks - Best Brunches. Brunch at the Art Gallery of Ontario is wonderful, so too JK at ROM. Le Select on Queen St, is a great French Bistro with a wonderful brunch.
