Suite Toronto--Matrix at City Place

Hi, everyone. My trip to Toronto originally planned for last year was postponed. We (me, my wife and 2 daughters aged 9 and 6) are once again planning a Toronto trip this summer. We had originally booked at Inn on the Park last year, and were considering doing so again for this go-round, but while surfing the web I came across Suite Toronto--Matrix at City Place and it looked intriguing. Can anyone offer any insight on this facility? Thanks!

Never heard of it, and I've heard of an awful lot.

An investigation will be made.

Toronto is a gret place for kids six and nine, by the way, perhaps even better than for kids eight and five. (6-9 doesn't really matter, but 5-6 does.

I'm guessing City Place is a condo building, and investors rent out suites. This is common in the city, andyou sacrifice hotel services but save some money and get easier ways to prepare your ownmeaals, get the ingredients ready for a picnic, cookup what you buy at the market, etc.

Anyway, I'll see if I can learn more. What other info can you provide, such as an address or the name of a management company.

City Place is a condominium apratment develoipment, in the downtown slightly-west core, beside the SkyDome.

It's Front Street West, almost at Spadina Avenue.

I don't know which buidlings of the multi-building develiopment are finished, which will be finished by summer, etc.

The location is good; it's one of those buildings that people who want to live downtown would pick. Short walk to harbourfront, short walk to chinatown, sort walk to CN Tower, short walk to stretcar, longish walk to subway, decent restaurants in most price ranges nearby.

My main concvern would be with the way rules work for transients compared with residents, making sure what you need in the way of cutlery, plates, etc., is there.

It's not a regular hotel, but it's close to the SkyDome Hotel, Holiday Inn on King, Soho Metropolitan, Le Germain, Intercontinental, etc., so it's almost as well located as they are.

Drove by today. many buildings, some completed, some still under construction, some not even started.

Short walk to Harborfront; streetcar goes by on Spadina linking a subway station on Bloor Street and the Union Station subway station. Ten minute walk to Chinatown.

I think it is unliukely you'll read about this place.

It's not a real hotel, and is thus out of the spotlight.
