St-Sauveur

Hi
We are thinking of staying a couple of nights in St-Sauveur prior to visiting Montreal. Is English spoken much in the village. Thinking of staying at the Mont-St-Sauveur hotel. When I called to inquire about rates the lady I spoke to told me I won't have any problems with English as 50% of visitors are English speaking but wanted to make sure.
Also anyone have any comments on village and or hotel, I thought we would do the Water Park one day.
Thanks

St-Sauveur is located in a very touristic area, visited by many Americans. You will not have any problems finding people who speak English. In the village, don't miss the bakery across the street from the church.

Did the Montreal to Mont Tremblant trip 2yrs ago. Don't fret -this is an area where Eng. is spoken and everyone is there to help you.
BTW-if the lady at the chair lift casually mentions that the flies are out at the top of MT Tremblant, run for your life!!. Did I listen--not me--got terrible bites at the bird show and had infected bites for three weeks. You will notice netting in peoples backyards if it is fly season
Is St Sauveur worth 2 nights?

The village is very lively and has good eating places, Crêperie de l'Eglise, amongst others.

The Polar Bear Club is closeby, one flat fee for access to whirlpools outside and also a cold spring to wade in.

The hotel has a spa; you could also rent bikes and ride along the trail of Le petit train du nord, it's a cross country skiing place in the winter, nice trails.

We used to eat at Papa Luigi, a fun italian place; the village barely has any chain restaurants so the quaintness is still there.
