Speaking of Canadian Wines ...

When I go home to Canada I always sample the local wines, I am partial to Sumac Ridge Pinot Noir.
I am wondering if anyone has favourites.
Merry Holidays everyone.

Pellar Estates Oakridge Sauvignon Blanc is tasty...

Gerhinger (sp?) Brothers Pinot Auxerois, and Wild Goose Gewertstraminer. Most BC wines are excellent.

Not strictly wine, but Kittling Ridge Icewine and Brandy is a favourite of ours. Peller Estates Cabernet Franc Icewine is splendid too.

Iniskillin has a nice Chardonnay...

I also tried another really nice red wine from BC last year when I visited Calgary but I can't remember the name... In Quebec, we don't get too many wines from out west. Could it be Mission Hill? From the Okanagan?

Most wines from Blue Mountain sit well with me . . . Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay and their sparkling wine.

We've been sampling a number of the new/newer wineries out of Prince Edward County in Ontario. They are small wineries and generally only sell at their vineyards (not big enough for the LCBO to carry their product). Waupoos Winery and Long Dog are the names of two we've tried recently.
