Souvenirs and Pharmacies in Toronto

I will be in Toronto next week and would like suggestions for souvenirs. I love to shop in pharmacies (Paris for example, Bootsin London, etc.. I am staying at the Day's Inn on Carlton, but we will be touring all over. Also, any suggestions for restaurants around our hotel? Thanks!

Mina,

I have not been to Toronto, but I think that they have Boots there as well. Cheers.

Sorry - no Boots. We do have Shoppers Drug Mart - the largest pharmacy in Ontario, another is PharmaSave. You will find Shoppers in the Eaton's Centre, not far from your hotel.

Two of my favourite restaurants come to mind:

1. Spring Rolls, 693 Yonge Street (just north of Charles St.) for great Thai food at a reasonable price (~C$50 for two). Well worth the ~15 minute walk from your hotel. Reservations recommended 416-972-7655.

2. Il Fornello, 35 Elm Street (south of Carlton between Yonge and Bay) for great pizzas baked on an open hearth. One again, reasonable prices. About a 10 minute walk from your hotel. Reservations recommended 416-598-1766.

Enjoy!
