soho met hotel in toronto
hi! just booked a weekend trip for toronto aug19-aug22. any feedback on this hotel? the location? any tips on doing toronto in 3 days would be great too. do you need a rental car? thanks!

The hotel is in the south west corner of the entertainment district, and houses one of Canada's most expensive restaurants, Sen5es, spelled with a five in it.
Close to Wayne Gretsky's sports part, Second City, a short walk to Harbourfront, short walk to a streetcar that will take uyou to a sub way station. Medium walk to the subway. You can see an awful lot of the interesting parts of Toronto from the hotel, without a car. There's a million messages here about what to do in Toronto. Or visit www.BrianKilgore.com and click on the link to toronto Tourist Tips. The photo of the Second City theatre was taken with my back facing the Soho Met, more or less, a block away. BAK |

I'm not an Indian food fan... butyou are close to several Indian restaurants, and can check them out earlier in the day.
Just walk up Blue Jay Way / Peter Street (same street, changes its name) to King Street West, and turn right / east / toward downtown. Walk a couple of b locks, checking outthe restaurnants. Do not forget to go all the way to Simcoe Street. there's a good Indian restaurant across the strteet (north side of King) from Roy Thomson Hall. Then walk up to queen Street West, turn left / west / away from downtown, and walk back to John Street. You'll pass another couple of Indian Restaurants. Look in windows, read tghe menus outside, talk to people leaving, and you'll get a good idea of where to go, all within walking distance. For more of an adventure, head for Little India, which s out ewast on gerrard Street, and tgruely knowledgable Indian food eaters know which to pick for best taste in generally down-graded surroundings.
