Snowmobiling in Canada

I am from upstate new york and my fiance and I are big into snowmobiling. We are getting married next winter and are considering an adventerous honeymoon in Canada to do some amazing snowmobiling. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay? We have never snowmobiled there and I'm looking for guided tours so that we don't get lost in the wilderness!!!

there is good snowmobiling around clearwater, bc and blue river alberta. you could combine it with a stay in jasper, alberta. the jasper park lodge would be a wonderful place to stay for a honeymoon.

If you are looking for something truly adventurous and gorgeous with snow you can count on, try snowmobiling in Newfoundland Labrador. For some reason I couldn't cut-and-paste the website link, but if you google the Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism website and 'snowmobiling', they have info for guided tours. We have done this and it was amazing, beautiful and truely an adventure.

I guess a lot of this depends on price. There may be lots in Ontario which is closer than the other suggestions.
Check out Muskoka or Quebec areas.

You might want to consider la belle province aka Québec depending on when in the winter you two are going to get married (congrats in advance BTW [if that isn't some sort of jinx]). If you really want to do Ontario and snowmobiling, then I'd suggest somewhere like Sault Ste. Marie for more reliably cold winter temperatures and decent snow cover as opposed to anywhere in the Toronto area or further south. That and it's a lovely and picturesque area with the Agawa Canyon Snow Train for a day trip as an example.

However, if you'd prefer a more urban setting, consider something in the Laurentians or around Québec City. Haven't been to the latter personally but many nice things have been written and said and it's quite old-worldish.
