Smart Casual

Please tell me what smart casual dress is. Thank you

well-casual would be jeans and a tee shirt kind of thing.
smart casual would be more like a top with a pair of not dressy pants, or perhaps a sweater with a pair of trousers. For ladies, I always wear a pair of black trousers and a casual top. Even a fitted shirt hanging out with a tight skirt.

Interesting question. I think the look of smart casual today would include some accessories that update those black or khakis pants or suit. An interesting purse, turqoise jewellery, or great stringy belt. Something with attitude.

Smart casual usually means no need for jacket and tie for men but don't expect to get in (restaurant or club I assume?)
in jeans/shorts/t-shirt/sneakers)
Doesn't really mean that you have to be especially fashionable in the latest pointy toed shoes and suedee skirt--just "no slobs, please"

It only sounds like "wa la" if you're from Russia or Poland. Otherwise it sounds like "Vwa la."

When it's fashionista time, with the smart casual or simply casual set, it's wa la! Mercy bocooooo!
