SkyPod at CN Tower

Is the "unique 360-degree perspective" view from the SkyPod worth the extra charge to go up to it?

Or is it basically the same as from the other observation levels?

High is high, and the CN tower certainly is. The new perspective is the option to go outside and hang on security cords. Whee. I'll applaud from the ground. http://www.cntower.ca/en-CA/Home.html

Southam,

Thanks for replying, but that doesn't answer my question.

Anyone else want to chime in?

I haven't been to the sky pod..
We recently went to the 360 degree restaurant for lunch on a beautifully clear day. You go in a special elevator and are required to buy the pix fixe meal at $ 55.00. No charge for admission. It was a lovely way to spend a chilly afternoon in Toronto. We weren't rushed and we circled the whole tower 1 and half times. The food ranged from good to exceptionally bad( dessert) but we thought the extra money was worth our private quiiet viewing time.
This also doesn't answer your question but it's an option to consider.

If you only plan one visit to the tower, select a clear day and spend the extra 12 bucks for the sky pod... if you online purchase your tickets, you save about $5 on the general admission...

If it's a cloudy or hazy day, the whole experience is no more than a long elevator ride...

Thanks, garyt22. Everything I've read says don't go on a less-than-clear day, but I haven't seen opinions about the SkyPod.

I probably won't spring for the $55 lunch, outdoor1—the price just for the observatories is steep enough!

If you go I recommend going for the whole shebang. (outdoor walk optional).

The skypod is just OK, but since you're there...

This place is listed as a must see and I believe it is. It is just that the eternal wait you have to suffer before you actually enjoy the 360’ view is way too much for myself. I found it very interesting also if you know something about the city organization, and I mean geography because otherwise is like watching small cars, people, and stuff walking by in the distance. The view is impressive. So, in brief, if you really like to experience high buildings and the skylines that this one in particular offer I would say: go for it. Just consider the wait or pay the fast access ticket.
