skiing in late november?
I have a week off from work the last week in November and am contemplating whether or not to go to Mont Tremblant with my family for some skiing, dog sledding, tubing, etc.
Is it too early? The ski resort will have been open for two weeks but I'd like to see more at least 50% of the mountain open. It should take me about 9 hours to drive to Tremblant from NJ. Is it worth the extra driving to go to Quebec and Mount Sainte Anne's instead? |
Hello wrlwnd,
Sorry, I can't answer your questions. You may have more response if you start a new thread whose title indicates the location a bit more specifically. In addition to Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia have popular ski resorts. I think the thread will attract people who have relevant information to share with you if it's obvious that it's about Quebec. |
There may be others with a different opinion, but I think that the last week in November is just too early to count on half of any mountain in Quebec being open. There have been times at Tremblant that less than 10 runs were open at the end of December. Granted, that was in a very low snow year, but it's difficult to predict.

Way too early to count on snow in this area...

Thanks all for the help!
I'll be making other plans for my week off. |
