skiing in canada over winter holidays

Have been trying to locate information for skiing for two-three families over winter holidays. Since we live in Virginia it might be nice to drive. Canada was suggested. any ideas?

In the east, one of the best ski resorts is Mont Tremblant which is about 2 hours from Montreal. There is wide range of accommodation there ranging from hotels to condos. It is quite a drive from Virginia though.

If you have trouble finding accommodation in Tremblant village you can always try St. Jovite which is a village about 10 minutes away. One of our favorite reasonably priced accommodations if we can't get anywhere in Tremblant is Club des Vacances in St Jovite. It is great for families.

I agree that Mont Tremblant will work if you want to drive. It's great skiing. If you want the best skiing that Canada has to offer you should consider the rockies (Banff, Whistler-Blackcomb). To get an idea of what is in store for you, visit www.skican.com They are a travel agency that has packages for people who drive as well as those who fly.
