Skiing at Mt. Sutton
 

We will be trying out for the first time-Mont Sutton in Quebec. We are considering staying
in Montreal because we don't know if there are any nice hotels near the mountain. Is there
a town nearby with restaurants and hotels? Thanks for any help!

Mt Sutton got 21cms of fresh snow yesterday, St. Saveur got zip, nada, nothing.

Jay Peak, Vermont (22 miles from Sutton, according to Mapquest) got 19 INCHES and still falling.

Just a reminder, St Saveur got nothing:-)))

Just back from three days of fantastic skiing at Sutton. Monday had 30cm of fresh powder and and another 20cm fell throughout Wednesday and last night--it was still snowing this morning and it was hard to leave as skiing today would have been just as good as the past three if not better.

I always stay at the Gite Vert le Mont, a very fine B&B. There is good dining in town. This time I ate at Bistro Beaux Lieux and at Les Appalaches which has new owners and an excellent dining room. I recommend both.

Keep your recommendations coming! I am so excited now! Any great breakfast places, great lunch places, etc.. things not to miss?

Is there anything nearby like the Spa Scandinave in Tremblant?
Between the good food, great wines and the spa hot pools, I didn't make it to one slope and didn't miss it either!!We live
near Philadelphia and vacation in Canada 3-4 times each year.
The Canadians sure know how to live!!! We in the U.S. should take a lesson! I've never seen such lovely women look so elegant in snow boots! My husband says he is a Canadian trapped in an American body!
