Vancouver airport hotel and transportation info needed
Have early flight and would like to be at airport. Any suggestions for nice and reasonably priced hotel with shuttle to airport appreciated. The Fairmount has hotel in airport and that
would be great but don't really wish to pay their rates. Also, coming back from Victoria and probably on Pacific Coast bus. I read where they drop off in downtown Vancouver but
need to find out if they might also continue to airport. Many thanks.

That would be Fairmont not Fairmount. We do not need until September so think i may keep checking their prices and hope for a price break. Convenience has to be worth something. Delta airport hotel, any thoughts?

Skytrain runs out of downtown to the airport. First train out of town is currently at 4:48 a.m. Not sure if that helps.
The other option is to take a cab. I had to be at the airport around 4:30, so caught a cab at 4 a.m. when there wasn't much traffic. Cost me around $35.
If you're looking to stay closer to the airport, but not pay the rate of the Delta, I know that the Coast Hotel, just on the other side of the bridge from the airport has reasonable rates and does have an airport shuttle. Had relatives that stayed there. Rooms are basic. But not much to do around there other than wait for your plane to take off.
Also take a look at the YVR.ca website. There will be different transportation options to- from the airport. listed on the site.
I checked the airport website and Pacific Coast does travel to YVR.
