Two ideas: We stayed at the Broad Cove Campground on Cape Breton, and it was really beautiful. The other thing that we did that I will NEVER forget is to take a ferry to Grand Manan Island where we stayed at the Hole in the Wall campground, and HEARD whales down below the cliffs, all night long. It was absolutely awesome. This was about seven years ago, so I can't vouch for either place currently. Just something to look into. As to your itinerary, I can't really remember the names of most of the places we went, so am not much help. Have fun!

I was on a solo cruise, Quebec to PEI, NS, Bar Habor and Boston last October. Loved it. Here are some pics which may give you some ideas or familiarization. Solo cruising (and cruising in general) are new to me, having traveled the world over with my now-incapacitated spouse. I had only taken three cruises (Alaska, River Cruise in Russia, and a "working" cruise to Mexico...I was a guest-lecturer at the time). But I did enjoy this cruise. And therapeutically, it was great for me. I had been to Quebec before , but PEI and NS were new to me. Coastal Maine was an old stomping ground when I lived in Mass. over 50 years ago.

Yeah, I polished off a large lobster im Bar Harbor (Bah Habah)

You can't help but enjoy your planned trip!

Canso - there isn't anything there with the exception of Grassy Island National Park. I would recommend staying around Sherbrooke for the night, or heading towards Cape Breton - maybe Port Hood.

And you have way too many sites to visit within 14 days. You will literally spend all of your time on the road.

Yes to over doing it, especially days 12-14. The Ovens is not that compelling a place to stay, while Lunenburg has a charming RV park in town with great views of back bay. Stay there both nights so you spend less time on road. Peggy's cove is worth a stop on way in or out of Halifax.
