September trip

My husband and I are planning our 25th wedding anniversary trip and are considering visiting PEI. Any thoughts or suggestions? We live in Annapolis, MD and would like to fly out of BWI.

It's awful quiet in PEI in September. That may be good or bad, of course.

I live in New Brunswick and the weather here in September is good...If you come to Fredericton around Sept 9th there is the "Harvest Jazz and Blues" Festival and that is really neat...lots of free concerts outside, most of downtown streets are closed and people are just walking everywhere...plus lots of great acts in the tents and halls. PEI should be a little cooler then NB because it is an island...but I think it would be pretty too

You may want to check to see if you can fly directly into Charlottetown. Not that familiar with international flights - however, Halifax International has several US carriers that fly direct.

What are your interests and how long are you planning on staying? PEI is a beautiful spot, great beaches and golfing.

Have you visited any of the Maritime Provinces before?

THere's a little airport in Charlottetown, and "real" airports in Moncton and Halifax. Halifax is a much longer drive to PEI than Moncton.

PEI promotes golfing; if you are a golfer, this is worth looking into.

Everytime I have visited PEI, I have thought Dalvay-by-the-Sea looked SO romantic: check this out (BTW, I have never stayed there so perhaps others can chime in if they do have personal experience?)
