Seeking Help ... Nova Scotia Itinerary

My previous posting received some excellent suggestions for my week in Nova Scotia, thanks. I am now trying to figure out the logisitcs.

My preliminary plan is the following:
Halifax - 2 night (Delta Barrington)
Digby - 1 night (Pines Resort)
Wolfville - 1 night (Blomidon Inn)
Cape Breton - 2 nights (Keltic Lodge)
Halifax - 1 night (Delta Barrington)

I welcome any suggestions or changes that I should consider. Thanks again for all of your help.

Hi Scott. As a suggestion, you may want to reserve an extra night at the Keltic Lodge rather than have the additional night in Halifax (you might feel rushed in Cape Breton with only 2 nights). As well, you may want to try to make a stop in Annapolis Royal on your way to Digby. It's on the Bay of Fundy and there's the national fort and historic gardens to visit. As far as the hotels are concerned, you've done your homework and chosen the some of the best.

The Keltic Lodge is one spectacular hotel. The location cannot be beat. Stay as long as possible.

Hi, I live in Halifax and the only comment I can make on your plan is that the drive from Wolfville to Cape Breton is quite long for one day. Especially to Keltic Lodge. It will take up a whole day so you won't be able to sight-see that day at all. All of the places you want to visit and stay are great but you may want to decide which are most important to you. I think that Cape Breton is much nicer than Halifax or even Wolfville.

Scott, I have a couple of questions: When are you going to be in NS? What do you want to do? Golf? Beach? Shop?
Sight see?
If you are going July/mid-August & your
priorities include beach & golf then I wld. agree w/ above poster & spend more
time in CB than you have set out in your
preliminary itinerary. Stay 3 nights @
Keltic ( Ask for one of the recently refurbished rooms in the "Main Lodge".
There is a newer building that is across from the coffee shop & down the hill from the "Main Lodge". Avoid that!).
Plan to drive around the Cabot Trail
& perhaps stay @ the Inverrary Inn in Baddeck. There is excellent golf in Ingonish where Keltic Lodge is located &
also in Baddeck. Personally I much prefer Cape Breton to the Halifax/ Wolfville/Digby area & so I wld. agree w/ above poster who suggested that you
allow for more time to enjoy the beauty of CB. It is a very, very long drive from Wolfville to Ingonish!
