I cannot believe how well our trip has come together thanks to Fodors and Cruisecritic. We have a great trip ahead! We are flying into SEA and staying with starwood points overnight and then taking the train to Vancouver where we stay at Bayshore Sheraton, then the cruise, then Pacific Coach to Victoria, Clipper back to SEA to another starwood hotel then airport home.

1.Which would you recommend for our Seattle stay - (Starwood points) Westin or Sheraton downtown Seattle? I don't think it will make a difference in getting to the train station, will it? We have the downtowner shuttle taking us to and from the airport.

2. We are doing priceline to try to get a 4 star in Victoria but have back up plan with Starwood - I agree with all the posts - the hotel is much too far away! Quality Inn was recommended to me also as a backup plan to the 4 star. Any advice on this?

I would go for the Sheraton in Seattle as one tower is new and the other was renovated recently. They are just a few blocks from each other so the location is really a wash.

I'm not familiar with the Quality Inn in Victoria. The places I like there are the Inn at Laurel Point and the Magnolia.

I have been hoping for the Magnolia or another 4 star such as Laurel Point via priceline but from all I am reading this summer has not been a successful venture. Thanks NWWandere for your Seattle tip.
