I've a question about National Parks entry fees. Assuming I'm following my original "Plan 2" itinerary:
Day 1 - Banff
Day 2 - Banff
Day 3 - Jasper
Day 4 - Jasper
Day 5 - Lake Louise
Day 6 - Kamloops (via Rogers pass)
I think I'll be able to buy:
Day pass on day 1 valid until 4pm Day 2.
Day pass on day 2 valid until 4pm Day 3.
Day pass on day 3 valid until 4pm Day 4.
Day pass on day 4 valid until 4pm Day 5.
Day pass on day 5 valid until 4pm Day 6.
My question is, will the day pass on day 5, good until 4pm Day 6, be valid for entry to Glacier NP and Mt Revelstoke NP? Or will I have to buy separate passes for each of these, even though I'll be visiting attractions ineach of them on the same day!

You methodology for CALCULATING the national parks entry fee is correct. However, that is not how you actually PAY for it. What I mean is that you do not pay for it day by day. You pay ONCE, when you enter the gate of the first national park at which you arrive. You tell the attendant in the toll booth how long you'll be in the national parks, and you pay at once for the appropriate number of days.
Once you've bought a national parks entry pass, it is valid in all 28 of Canada's national parks. So, by definition, it is valid in British Columbia's Glacier Nationial Park and Mount Revelstoke National Park as well as in Banff National Park, etc.
You can pay by cash or major credit card (Visa and MasterCard).
