Road from Calgary to Whitehorse
 

Hey All,

I'm undertaking my first road trip from Calgary to Whitehorse. I don't have any specific time frame or route that I have to take. I'm looking for some serious scenic beauty, the best routes to take, things to stop off and see on the way, etc.

Any info would be appreciated!

Well, I suppose that one might set off initially via the Icefields Parkway... Grande Prairie... Dawson Creek, and then the Alaskan Highway.

The scenery is all there, and there aren't too many route options... though once you've driven the Alaskan Highway for a while it will seem only like you, the road you're on, and endless trees... but the deviations (lakes) from that are quite scenic in nearly every case.
