Reykjavik, Iceland to Calgary,Canada
Hi

Does anyone know which carriers, if any, fly directly between the above two cities. If there are no direct flights, any idea which is the easiest route to take (least hours in the air)

Thanks for your help

Woody

I think I have found the answer to my own question.
There isn't an easy way to get between the two without at least two stops.. Reykjaivk to Minneapolis and then from Minneapolis to Calgary via Chicago.

If there is any better way I'd lve to hear it.

Woody

Woody,

check out Air Transat. I seem to remember that their charter flights from Calgary stop in Iceland for refuelling on the way to Europe -- maybe you can hitch a ride half way.

You would not need to stop in Chicago, since Icelandair flies directly from MSP to Keflavik airport. I believe the flight to Iceland from the Twin Cities is around 5 hours. You can check with Icelandair to see if they have any affiliation agreements with carriers for the Calgary-Minneapolis leg, which could be a money-saver for you.

Try First Air or Air Canada
Try Reyk - Iqaliut - Yellowknife - Calgary This would be a lot of fun

How about going to London and then taking an Air Canada flight direct?
Otherwise, I think you have found the answer.
