We will be staying at the Westin in old Montreal next weekend and would like recommendations for brasseries or pub style restaurants in the area.

If no-one answers... be assured that it is a small enough area that you can just walk around, and then pick a place with lots of customers. That's always a good sign, and even better when it is not the high tourist season.
