Restaurants

Any recommendations for good restaurants in Vancouver and Victoria that would also have some healthy choices on their menus too?? I.e. we're not looking for fast-food joints or steakhouses! Is there a Montana's in Vanc/Vict?

Thanks!

Isn't Montanas a steak house? Anyway a really nice place in Victoria is Blighty's Bistro - but you will need a reservation.

Now that you mention it, you're right cruiseryyc! I guess I was just thinking of my one visit there - had a really good chicken wrap!

Thanks for ideas so far - am checking them all out.

BTW, any suggestions for downtown Calgary (near Best Western, 8th Ave SE I think)??

There are two downtown Best Western's, one on 8th Street S.W. and one on Macleod Trail. If its the one on 8th street, there is the Rose & Crown Pub within walking distance (corner of 15th Ave. & 4th St.) Other downtown restaurants - River Cafe on Princes Island; Muriettas; Teatros; Saltlic, the list is endless.

Don't know if you mean fine dining, but in Vancouver can recommend "Diva at the Met" in Metro. Hotel, downtown, and "The Fish House" in Stanley Park. We found both excellent.
In Victoria, recommend "Pablo's," French dining, just off the Inner Harbor
which was an old Victoria home at one time.
Good luck. Francie

In Calgary we would recommend Eds Restaurant at 202 - 17th Ave SE just a block from the Stampede. In Vancouver try Stephos's Souvlaki Greek Taverna at 1124 Davie St.(people line up on the sidewalk starding at 5:30pm so be early or be prepare for a long wait). In Victoria try Hunters's Steakhouse & Lounge.

We try those 3 restaurants last month during our western trip

I wouldn't worry too much - Vancouver and Victoria practice some of the most healthiest eating in the entire country. Healthy choices is almost always the feature in BC restaurants ... fast food/steakhouses are the rarity.

bon appetit!
