Restaurant near AGO
Any recos for a nice restaurant within walking distance of the AGO.

Whenever my husband and I visit the AGO we take the opportunity to dine nearby at Le Select Bistro. I've been dining at Le Select for 17 years and it never disappoints.

Try Lai Wah Heen at the Metropolitan Hotel. It's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the country, if not in North America.

As I read your message and before I read the responses, my immediate reaction was to suggest Le Select.
Last summer I took a good-eating couple from Chicago to the restaurant inside the AGO for lunch, and they loved it. Avant garde food. Bright Pearl in Chonatown, on Spadina a couple of blocks fromt he AGO, is a very good, medium fancy (clean, well run, not lavish) dim sum restaurant with excellent food and low prices. The Chicago lady was there, too, and loved it. Friscos and Milestones, across the street from each other on John Stree, south of Queen, are both good middle range, easy walk, have patios. Milestones hamburger is really good. But for a tourist who loves good food, Le Select is really the best bet. Need directions????? BAK |
Thanks all for your suggestions.
