The Japanese place above the Burton store in Whistler is pretty good and - for Whistler - reasonably priced.

In Victoria Il Terrazzo is my favourite restaurant - great Italian food and ambiance. Pagliacci's is another good Italian restaurant.

in whistler.. upscale divine food at "La Rúa". also owned by same group, "Caramba" in plaza.. fun and also tasty food in nice atmosphere.-

we enjoyed the "death by chocolate" buffet at the empress hotel in victoria one afternoon. ( and we survived).

also had a great brunch at a hotel to the right of where the ferry comes in in victoria.. I think it was called Laurel Point. Fabulous brunch that had BOWLS of raspberries and black/blue berries to add to the fruit.

nice garden, patio setting.

we have also had nice meals at furry creek gof course halfway up to whistler which is quite a nice place, and if you are a golfer.. don't miss it!

had good food at horseshoe bay picturesque "boat club" restaurant at docks. ( name has slipped from my mind).

if you have not been to horseshoe bay, it is very picturesque. and the ferry that goes from there north to gibson on next island, is one of the prettiest ferry rides on the B.C. coast, IMHO. lots of weaving through nestled island scenery.

you could do it round trip as foot passenger. you only pay one way, i think. photo op the whole way.

you won't be sorry.

Glad you enjoyed Canoe Club. We went up there by boat last night; it's always good for casual dining

cheers
