reservations and whale watching?
Hi - we're headed up to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton the last week of June. If we want to catch a whale watching excursion from Cheticamp or thereabouts, are reservations necessary at that time of year? If so, how far in advance do I need to call?
One more question -- are there any websites that might tell me what sort of live music might be going on in Cape Breton on 6/29 and 6/30? Thanks! Jodi |
There is a small interpretation centre in Pleasant Bay with three operators. No reservations required. Not 100% about Cheticamp but you won't have a problem with getting on a tour. Not sure if June is a great month to see whales. Usually once the water turns warmer - August/September being good. Check out these websites
Cheticamp area www.whalecruises.com Pleasant Bay Interpretation centre [email protected] www.novascotiawhales.com www.fiddlinwhaletours.com www.whaleandsealcruise.com Hope this helps. These professionals should be able to tell you what you might see that time of the year. |
Hi if you were going to cheticamp for whale watching cruises try The Love Boat whale cruise its www.loveboatwhalecruises.com or www.whalecruises.com. These 2 are the only ones i know about in cheticamp have fun.
