Report on our trip to Toronto 9-02

We just returned from Toronto yesterday and had a great time. Per some great advice on this site checked out some great places. Got half price tickets at Totix (at the Eaton Center) we got tickets for Tina and Tony's Wedding (we had alot of fun) great prices. We got a room at the Hilton (nice - but not really any extras considering their rating) loved swimming outside under the stars and skyscrapers. We went to St. Jacobs market on Saturday by Kitchner (loved it) and we ate at a place in Mississaga called Lucy's Seafood (meal was outstanding) and good prices. Stayed 3 nights in Mississauga at Radison through priceline - great price - nice staff and nice hotel. Easy to get around. Just again to say (we just had a great time and Thank you Fodors (I always tell my friends about this site) I think your the best. We're ready to come back next year, still lots to see. Thank you. Mary

Hi Mary..so glad you had a good time! I live about 2 hrs. from Toronto and have visited the Waterloo/St. Jacobs market many times..isn't it fun? Is the Lucy's restauarant you went to the same one I may have gone to last year...in a little strip plaza and is Mexican food?? It was wonderful if it's the same one. And one question - what is Tina and Tony's Wedding?

Based on her description, it is the Hilton on Richmond Street.

Michelle, The Hilton is on the corner of Richmond Street and University. It does have an indoor/outdoor pool located on the second floor however the outdoor section has been closed for the season.

Also, check the downtown Sheraton one block east on Richmond. They have a very large outdoor pool on the roof of their lobby/entrance/gargage area. We saw (from our Hilton room) people smimming in it two weekends ago.

In response to what is Tony and Tina's wedding - (it is a play where you attend an actual mock wedding) in the theatre district in downtown Toronto- it includes an italian dinner (not top notch) but ok. we just had a blast. Also Hilton is on Richmond (I just swam outside last weekend 9-30) - and Lucy's Seafood is in a strip mall in Mississauga. We just loved that place. I wish Lucy's was closer - next time I go to Canada I will go to Lucy's for dinner. Thanks again. Mary
