Rental car size
 

I have read that parking spaces are small for BC hotels and condos with underground parking. It's just the two of us traveling. We'll be taking the car to Whistler and 20 or so miles north in late September, likely checking out some lakes and mountain views. I've read it's not likely to snow that time of year. Do we need a four wheel drive vehicle, which can be more expensive to rent, or should we be fine with a compact or mid-sized sedan?

I can't think of anywhere you would really need anything other than a regular car. We like to travel in small SUVs only because we can see the scenery better and it's what we are used to driving at home, but I don't think it's anything you would really need. Plus, those underground parking spots can be pretty tight.
