Rental Car - Calgary to Jackson Hole!
 

We would like to schedule a trip to the Canadian Rockies next June to coincide with a wedding we are attending in Jackson Hole. We would like to fly into Calgary, rent a car and drive and sightsee for a couple of weeks (Banff, Glacier Nat. Park, Yellowstone, etc.) ending up in Jackson Hole. I can't seem to find any companies that will rent a car in Calgary and let us drop it off in Jackson Hole. Does anyone have any suggestions. We could fly into Spokane but it is about 400 miles away from Calgary. Help!!!!

I doubt you will find any car rental company that will let you drop off a car in the States. The car probably cant be rented there, for a variety of reasons (like kms instead of mphs) therefore it cant get returned to Canada. I dont have any other solution for you sorry, but just thought you would like to know about the rental problem.

Thanks for the advice. I will have to change plans. If I flew into Spokane and rented a car there would the company and Canadian authorities let me drive it into Canada and then return it to Jackson Hole? Just fishing for an alternative.

If convenient flights are available from where you live, you also could fly into Kalispell, MT. That's a little closer to your target area than Spokane is.

Kalispell to Banff is 6 hours, not counting stops. Spokane to Banff is 7.5 hours, not counting stops.
