Recommend a restaurant in the theatre district(toronto)?

Call to the bar ceremony this Thursday at Roy Thomson Hall...can you recommend a nice restaurant walking distance for 6 after this event?

How big a crowd? Including parents, or just young lawyers?

For four to six people, multiple generations: Kit Kat, south side of King Street West, just west of John Street. (abo9ut two blocks from RTH)

Six to ten? Call ahead to Club Lucky / Kit Kat Too, and make a reservation. Similar menu, same owners, more space. Club Lucky is on John Street, north of Adelaide, south of Richmond, which makes it two blocks straight north of Kit Kat.

The CN Tower has a restaurant with a view. http://www.cntower.ca/

There's Canoe in the TD Centre on the 54th Floor. http://www.oliverbonacini.com/

Both easy walks from Roy Thomson.

Some of the fun of Toronto is sitting in the streetside bistros and people watching... on a warm summer night its better to be outside than on the 54th floor of a sky scraper... save the towers for daytime fun... with that said... there are dozens of bistros from the entertainment district to Queen St W... all have a great view of TO at night, the CN Tower along with the great city smells of food, street carts... pick a food type and we can get more specific...

The call to the bar is usually early in the day and asking for a view, I thought the poster was speaking of lunch.

We ate at Canoe last Ocober and the acoustics (obvious design problem) in that restaurant were so bad I couldn't hear my husband across the table nor the waiter! We were there for an anniversary dinner and it was LESS than romantic. I really wanted to leave but because we were visiting from out of town there was no other place that we could have gone to at the last minute. Service was lovely, but can't remember the meal that much.

I've eaten there at lunch (and had drinks after work, too) and don't remember that.
