Random Q: Best Place to Buy Small Appliance in Vancouver Area

So... There is a particular Panasonic microwave/steam oven that is available in Canada but, for some reason, not in the US. My wife and I are considering a trip to Vancouver anyway and I wanted opinions about the best place to get this. Best Buy and Walmart both look to sell it and I could just do a ship-to-store order timed for when I would visit. Is this the best option or should I call one of Coast Appliances or Trail Appliances, both of which are listed as selling it by Panasonic.

Thanks in advance.

If I had a bulky item to purchase while I was travelling, I would look for the nearest place to where I am staying. If you know your hotel, just google appliance shops nearby and call them. Most stores are happy to oblige.
You may want to check the cross-border costs. Assuming you are from the US there may be duties depending on the amount of purchase.

If you are driving up to Vancouver your best bet might be to buy it in south Surrey as there are a Walmart SuperCentre and a Best Buy there and it is within 18-20 or so minutes of the border. I would have them hold it at the store until your return and then collect it right before you head for the border crossing.

Walmart Surrey South Supercentre
2355 160th St
Surrey

Best Buy
2267 160th Street
Surrey

Yes, we would be driving. And picking up near the border makes a lot of sense.

Thanks to both of you.
