Question(s) about Whistler Village

I am taking a Grayline tour of Whistler Village on Sunday Aug. 25

I think we have 3 hours of free time, but I am also taking the optional helicopter tour ... so let's say I have 2 hours of free time.

It is my understanding that there is actually 3 separate villages or maybe it is 3 distinct sections - this is where I get confused ...

The Farmers Market is in the "North Village" This is where I want to go. How do I get there? Are there shuttles to take you around to the different sections? - If I can't get there and have to just stay in the main village, what is there to do? Are there any budget places to eat? What is the window shopping like?

I have been trying to get info online, but the websites are just not giving me the info I need.

I basically chose to take this tour so that I could ride the train. I hear it is awe inspiring. - I just don't know what to do when I get there.

:-)

The villages are all connected to each other and within walking distance of each other (there are pedestrian walkways between each of them). For casual and relatively inexpensive (and it is relative, since Whistler's a ski town) I like the brewpub that's at the point where the walkway turns to the left between the main Whistler village and the north village (can't remember the name of it but it's easy to find--it'll be on your right).

There is also the option of taking a gondola up and enjoying the view on a hike down.

I only have about 2 hours ... and I'm semi-disabled. A hike would take me all day.
:P

Sorry, I did not know that. The gondola does work both ways, if you would like the mountain view. I know because in my moms last year we took her up in her 'chair' to attend a symphony in the bowl event. Her last classical music event.
What can I say.
