Question in Fall in Quebec
Could somebody tell me approximately when the
trees begin to turn color, during fall, in the Quebec area? Thanks! |
I would say early October.

Depending on what type of rain fall and summer weather we've had they start to change from the end of September to mid october. You're best best is probably the 1st week of October.

I agree with the info above. In southern Quebec (Laurentians, Gatineau Hills, Eastern Townships) the peak time is generally around Canadian Thanksgiving. Further north, it is a week or two earlier.

And just to add.... the peak time may be earlier in colder years and later in warmer ones.
I know in Ontario our Ministry of Tourism has a "Fall Colours Report" but I'm not sure if Quebec has something similar. Ok, just found links: For Quebec: http://www.bonjourquebec.com/qc-en/s...couleurs0.html For Ontario: http://www.ontariotravel.net/publica...lourreport.pdf |
