Quebec with family & Dog

We will be in Quebec from 12/29-12/31. We will be traveling with our golden retriever. I am wondering if Quebec is a dog friendly city to visit. He is very well behaved and will be on a leash at all times.

First rule is scoop the poop. It sounds worse in French. You are less likely to find restaurants that will welcome Monsieur Chien than in France. And be prepared for the possible distraction of horse-drawn carriages (at least in summer.) The sidewalks are narrow and crowded in the centre, but west of the Citadel there is huge parkland for doggie to enjoy. Less cheerfully, you should check ahead about hotel policy, especially in a small inn.

Thank you so much. Would any one happen to know if there are any local breweries that allow dogs in. I know that is very common in the states: ie Colorado, NY, CA, Ohio, PA , AZ that I have visited. Hoping possibly some in Quebec area... Thanks
