Quebec Libre

I have a vague sense of a concoction with this name served at a bar in Montreal. Is there anyone with an inkling as to the place or the drink's contents.

I've never heard of it but it sounds like a separatist drink ; you would have a good chance of finding it in a bar on St. Denis street, probably not on Crescent street, lol.
I'll ask around.

Québec Libre is the same as a Cuba Libre, but sustitute Pepsi for the Coke (inside joke).

Usually served with a May West cake.

I just burst out laughing while revisiting this thread this morning; it's really an inside joke
for frogs like me....

Well I also can not recall who last served me a Quebec Libre, but if my taste buds served me correctly the mix is something along the lines of:
Two parts Chaudron Ale Québécoise
One part Canadian Mist
Splash of pure Canadian maple syrup
Garnish with caramelized Matsumurae leaf. Has anyone tried to order it at the Hotel W Wunderbar?
