Quebec Draft itinerary

I’m looking at taking a trip to Quebec the first week of November. Does the itinerary below sound reasonable?

Day 1- fly, arrive 4 pm. Get rental car and head to the area around Montmorency Falls. Overnight in the area.
Day 2- visit Montmorency Falls and hike around the area. Overnight in same place.
Day 3- visit Saint Anne Basilica and hike around St. Anne canyon area. At end of day, return car to airport and head into the city. Overnight for remainder of trip at hotel within the walls.
Day 4&5- explore the city
Day 6 fly home.

I know Montmorency is accessible by public transportation from the city, but it looks like exploring the Saint Anne area is more difficult without a car, so that’s why I’m renting a car. I do not want to do escorted tours. The feedback sounds like participants don’t get sufficient time at each site.

I seem to remember Montmorency Falls as being in a suburban setting. I'm not sure if I would spend 2 nights there. St Anne de Beaupre is just a few miles away. If I wanted to spend some time in the countryside outside Quebec City I would stay in the Charleviox area about 90 minutes or so from the city. Very beautiful area, great for hiking. Baie-saint-Paul is a nice little town in the Charlevoix.

Your plan sounds ok to me. I trust you have checked weather averages. There is a fair chance you will see some snow:

Personally I would not want to be driving very far in the area if it is snowing, and we drive in snow a lot where we live. Hiking might be a bit of a trick as well.

When I looked up snow data for last two years, the snow didn't start until late November. I'd be crossing my fingers for no snow or terrible weather. The prices are so cheap for first week!
